The Story
About the Book
This is the account of a bond that transcends worlds. Through these profound spiritual messages, the mother witnesses her daughter's transition from this world to the next, not as an ending, but as a beautiful continuation. She glimpses the soul’s passage, experiencing moments of release, understanding, and reunion in a realm beyond our own. What begins as honoring her daughter's memory becomes a shared journey of healing and enlightenment.
The narrative soars into the vast expanse of spiritual discovery, celebrating love’s lasting power and the connections that endure across realms. This story offers a powerful perspective on life, death, and the ties that unite us. It is an intimate and illuminating journey for anyone who has ever loved, lost, and dared to listen for a whisper from the other side.
About the Author

Born in Sunnyside, Washington, S.S. Wright spent her early years in Yakima before moving to western Washington at age ten, where she remained for most of her life.
She and her husband Mike have been married for 53 years and raised three children, Melina, Jim, and Nissa in the Pacific Northwest. Mike's construction work took the family to various towns throughout the Northwest, California, and even American Samoa, creating many shared adventures.
For ten years, S.S. Wright operated a specialty food business that she thoroughly enjoyed until family illness required her full attention. During her time in business, she helped establish the Washington State Specialty Foods Association and built lasting relationships with business partners and employees.
Her sewing room doubles as her writing space, where she has been working to complete "Singing the Redbird's Song." This book began as a promise to her daughter Melina before she passed away at twenty-five. S.S. Wright started the project years ago as part of her personal healing process but set it aside when life intervened. A writer's retreat eventually inspired her to finish the work.
She believes Melina serves as her co-writer, providing images and forgotten memories when the story's form finally took shape.
What Readers are Saying
She has an elegant voice and is very articulate in painting her scenes and characters. On a scale of one to five, I give it six. I can’t wait to get back to it, it’s helping with my own grief and mourning.
